Free Intro Class

To begin training at Barnes Corner CrossFit, we’d like to invite you to come in for a free hour-long introductory session to see our facilities, introduce ourselves and explain a little more about what we do. You will also be put through a modified workout so we can see how you move. We will talk with you to better understand your short and long-term fitness goals, and outline how CrossFit and some Nutritional Guidance can help you meet and even surpass those goals. Intro (OnRamp) to CrossFit Program

What is Intro to CrossFit? If you’ve never tried CrossFit, then many of the movements and terminology are going to be very new to you. Our OnRamp program is designed to help you as an athlete become comfortable and confident in performing the movements that are involved in CrossFit. You will learn how to perform the exercises safely and develop your conditioning before “graduation.”

At BCF, we have a few options to bring you up to speed.  A few times a year we do a 4-week group program that is comprehensive and scheduled. This program is 12 sessions and will cover the foundations of what CrossFit is all about. We also do a fast-track On-Ramp Program that is on your schedule. What makes the fast-track program very effective that it is in a 1-on-1 setting or at most, 3-to-1.  This ensures maximum hands-on learning and instruction under the watchful eye of one of our talented coaches.  

We understand that not everyone learns at the same rate so you can expect your on-ramp program to take between 3-6 sessions.  Our coaches have the right to keep you in OnRamp as long as is needed to make sure you are proficient and have a full grasp of the curriculum.

Once your coach graduates you from OnRamp, you can come to any CrossFit class at any time you would like! 


Here we go… Time to start Living Your Life to the Fittest. Work Hard. Form follows function and intensity drives adaptation. What does that mean? The harder you work, the better your body will look. Effort is more important than any other attribute. Don’t be embarrassed or ashamed if you can’t lift as much or perform as well as other members. It doesn’t matter so long as you push the envelope each and every time.

Previous CrossFit Experience?

If you have previous CrossFit experience, you may bypass the OnRamp Intro Program by passing a brief competency test. Sign up for an intro session using the online form at the top of the page and we will schedule a time for you to come in for your assessment. The brief test will allow us to evaluate you on your proficiency at the following lifts & movements:
