Melanie has been a Registered Nurse for 18 years. She works part time in the health suite at Tome School. She is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) trained in Vinyasa Yoga. Vinyasa is a flow style of yoga where the breath is synchronized with movement. She also teaches Gentle yoga. Gentle yoga is a class that’s awesome for everybody. You may not get as sweaty as you will with Vinyasa, but it’s a style of yoga that is good for everybody. It’s awesome for anyone who is new to yoga, anyone with injuries, seniors, or just anyone who wants to feel good. It’s a slower flow class that is modifiable and easily adaptable. It’s helpful to lower stress hormones and add flexibility and the mind body component. She is also trained in Reiki, which is a form of energy healing. Melanie has a passion about yoga and when she is not doing something yoga related, She is either doing something animal related or something with her boys: Bailey, age 16 and Preston age 10.
