Jenn is passionate about health and fitness and she enjoys sharing this passion with others. As a working mother of two busy young boys, she understands that it’s not always easy to stay on track! As someone who has struggled with their weight and body image, she understands the struggles with getting started and how difficult it can be to sift through all of the contradicting information to find what “healthy” really means!  She strives to help her participants find what works for them with the understanding that life and families are part of the equation.  It’s not about a quick fix but lifestyle changes. Jenn also enjoys working with older adults to prove that age is merely a number and you’re never too old to be in the best shape of your life.

I am super passionate about health and fitness and I love to share this passion with others. As a working mother of two busy young boys I understand that it’s not always easy to stay on track! I also really enjoy working with my Silver Sizzler group! Together we prove that age is merely a number and you’re never too old to be the best version of you.  EVERYONE can do SOMETHING!

Style of Training

Because of my background in a variety of areas I am able to tailor workouts effectively to meet the needs of the individual client.  I believe strength training, cardiovascular training, and mobility exercises are all important in anyone’s routine and the trick is using the proper combination based on individual goals.

Philosophy

Health and fitness does not mean the same thing for everyone and our bodies are not created equal.  What works for one does not work for all and it is important that we look at our goals realistically and positively. Sometimes it’s just about reprioritizing ourselves in our life and keeping to a happy and healthy version of ourselves.

Where I got my start

I always loved sports growing up and played softball, was on swim teams and field hockey teams. While I participated in workouts with my teams I had never really been involved in a gym.  My Aunt is a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness instructor in Baltimore and to help get in shape before my wedding I began training with her and going to her classes.  I caught the group fitness bug immediately!! I loved everything about it! I started taking classes locally and saw a flyer for a training for a cycle certification course.  Cycle is the one class I had been too scared to try but I saw this opportunity as my way in so without having taken a class yet I signed up and began my journey.  I threw myself in and had 3 certifications within my first year of teaching.  I then set my sights on Personal Training.  I wanted to learn as much as I could about as much as I could with regard to health and fitness and change lives!  I want to be for anyone what my Aunt was for me.  A guide to a lifestyle I didn’t know existed.  I’m stronger, happier and feel more powerful than I ever thought possible!
